Reunions are a major form of bringing business to Hawaii and other states. Even in a downturned economy, the first graduating class of Radford High School came together in September to mark their class of 1960. Radford opened in the spring of 1957 and held a 9th
grade graduation on the grounds of the then pink school. But the
first senior class graduated in June of 1960. This class experienced
statehood for Hawaii firsthand and was part of the celebration in
Waikiki. The military children attending Radford at that time still
have fond memories of their years at Radford, and many return regularly. Reunion Committee
