Welcome to the Nuibe family website!  As you can see from the menu above, you can explore genealogy information, a photo album, and projects on which we are working.

NEW!  Lynne has begun quilting, making watercolor and landscape quilts, and also fabric portraits!  Check it out on the "Projects/Quilting" page.

NEW!  Our son Greg's website is being redesigned (by Lynne) and all of our grandson Jake's pictures and videos have been moved there.  The redesign of the main site has not yet been completed but you can see it at www.nuibe.com/redesign.  The photo gallery can be found in the PHOTOS menu selection on the new site.

If you have any comments or questions about anything on the site, please contact Lynne (the webmaster) at the link in the footer of each page.

The latest news from our family.  (updated 12/08/2008)

We've added a new member to our family!  Bella came to live with us on 12/6/2008.  As you can see, she is a beautiful beagle.

She will celebrate her first birthday on Dec. 31st.  She has so much energy!  She and Slinky get along very well, and Bella is learning that when Slinky is resting she wants to be left alone!  We'll add more pictures to the Our Dogs page soon.

Our sweet beagle, Snickers, died in our arms on Nov. 8, 2008.  He was 14 years old and suffered a complete kidney failure.  He had been with us since he was just 3 years old and he was an important part of our family.

Gary's mother, Wakae Nuibe passed away on August 28, 2008 at the age of 92.

She was a remarkable woman and she raised five wonderful children.

Lynne's brother, Richard L. Rodgers, passed away on May 6, 2008 at the age of 70.
Dick was a well-known figure in the folk music community in the Greater Washington area.

Here is a link to his obituary in the Washington Post.  Dick and Lynne had been out of touch for several years.  Lynne has now been in touch with people in the folk music community and will work to keep Dick's music memorabilia in that community.

These are Jake's school pictures for 2008 (pre-school).  He started kindergarten in the fall!
