Mark VIII Fan Install

I installed an electric cooling fan from a Lincoln Mark VIII in the El Camino.  The install was fairly simple.  As you can see in the pictures, the fan fit perfectly between the outer two tab that bolted to the stock fan shroud.  I just bent the middle tab under the upper radiator support to get it out of the way.  I made some custom brackets that bolted to the remaining two tabs and the top two tabs of the fan.  These brackets support the weight of the fan.  I had to notch the fans shroud to clear the lower radiator mount.  Finally, I used four nylon ties (these are the type that come with tranny coolers) that hold each corner firmly against the radiator.  The ties slip trough the radiator fins and are secured on the front side.
